Our current vacancies are detailed below.  All vacancies advertised require a DBS disclosure, and require the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.  We will also carry out an online check of publicly available information to assess shortlisted candidates’ suitability to work children.

**NEW** SIXTH FORM LEAD

Ellen Tinkham is seeking to employ a Sixth Form Lead Teacher to join our teaching team commencing in September 2024.

This is a unique opportunity for someone to lead our successful Sixth Form department onto its next phase of development. The successful candidate must be creative, inspiring and have high expectations for our students and be ambitious for their future outcomes. This is a full-time permanent vacancy.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Have experience teaching complex SEND students in KS4 / KS5;
  • Inspire our young people;
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of leading a team;
  • Be able to build effective and positive relationships with families;
  • Be an effective communicator;
  • Be able to realise our strategic vision;
  • Keep the school vision at the centre of everything they do;
  • Be part of a dedicated team creating a stimulating and person-centred environment.

**NEW** TEACHER

Ellen Tinkham is seeking to employ a Fun, Creative, Inspiring, Person-Centred teacher to join our teaching team. 

We have a full time, permanent vacancy, commencing in September 2024.

You must be enthusiastic and have a passion for providing high quality teaching and learning to pupils with SEND from ages 3 to 19 years. If you are looking for a career change but unsure whether SEND teaching is for you, we can offer sessions in class as part of the application process.

TEACHING ASSISTANTS

Ellen Tinkham School is looking to appoint Teaching Assistants to work in our vibrant and innovative special school in Exeter.

These positions would suit intelligent, caring and resilient people who will keep the school ethos in the centre of everything they do. The successful candidates will inspire our young people and be part of a dedicated team creating a stimulating and person-centred learning environment. The school caters for students and young people from 3 years to 19 years. We currently have vacancies across the school and college. The successful applicants would need to be flexible in their approach and willing to work across all age groups, when required.

This role requires a DBS disclosure and the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.

The salary range at C Grade (based on 5 days per week), Monday to Friday 9 am – 3.30 pm (1200 hours per annum), term time only, starts at £14,957 rising to £15,507.
