The South Africa Expedition Team held a fun day on Saturday the 1st July to help raise much needed funds. A lot of hard work went into planning, setting up, running and cleaning up with students, families and staff and volunteer helpers all working together. The sun was out and people arrived from 10.15 and didn’t stop arriving until the end at 3.30! There was a variety of stalls and games, a bouncy castle, ball pool and soft play area (Kindly donated by Bouncy Town), raffles, win a build a bear hoopla, attraction tickets draw and auction, demonstrations from Ellen Tinkham’s rural skills team. The schools karate squad entertained everyone with 2 fantastic displays as did the Blue Anchor Majorettes. There was live music throughout the day with performances from The Sidmouth Ukulele Strummers and The Turning Tides Project. The weather was perfect to soak up the music and atmosphere while enjoying a drink from the bar/ refreshments and something off the BBQ, the ice creams were definatly a hit in the sun!
It really was a FUN DAY for all!
and to top that we made an amazing £1165.65p!
Thank you everyone
