The Parent, Teachers and Family Association (PTFA) is an organisation that works in conjunction with the school to raise funds and awareness.
Being part of the PTFA is a fun experience, and you get to meet other families which for special schools, is not always so easy!
Events organised and supported by the PTFA across the year include the Christmas Fayre and Raffle, providing Christmas presents to each pupil, the Easter Raffle and giving of Easter Eggs/toys to all pupils and the Summer Fete. In between these large-ish events, we also hold smaller fundraising initiatives to ensure there is always money in the pot to provide additional learning resources and fund class trips, especially in the summer months.
The PTFA has also previously assisted in helping towards the cost of school proms, the playground equipment, tent and camping equipment, school plays, outings, musical instruments and the hydropool project, just to name a few.
If you would like to know more about what we do and how we support Ellen Tinkham children and young people, please contact the School Office.
All our families are automatically members of the PTFA, so we encourage everyone to get involved as much as possible. Even if you can only spare an hour at one of our events, or in the run-up, we'd love to hear from you!
